Once you become a member of PCWNC, you can choose what you would most enjoy doing and join any or all of the activity groups that interest you. More detailed information is available in the newsletter you will receive each month as a member. The newsletter is also available on this website. You can also check the Calendar page on this website.
These are the current active groups.
Book Club meets in a member’s home on the second Thursday of each month to discuss agreed-upon books and visit.
Bowling meets at Film Alley in Weatherford every Thursday.
Breakfast Club meets at various restaurants in and around Weatherford on the first Tuesday of each month at 9:00 a.m.
Canasta aficionados play at Antonio’s on Santa Fe the second Monday of each month from 11:00 to 2:00 p.m.
Chick Flicks gets together for lunch and then goes to the one of the movie theaters in Weatherford on the third Thursday of each month.
Craft Time meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month for crafting with friends.
Decorations group decorates the tables for our general meetings each month. If you are a creative type, this activity is for you!
Friends Connecting provides an opportunity for our ladies to get better acquainted and share passions and things they enjoy doing and find other club members with interests in common. They meet in the home of a member on the third Monday of every other month at 1:00.
Game Daze meets on the fourth Friday of each month at the Spring Creek Volunteer Fire Station. They play all manner of games and each attendee encouraged to bring a bag lunch lunch.
Lunch Bunch meets at a different local restaurant on the first Thursday of each month.
Mah Jongg meets each Wednesday at Spring Creek Volunteer Fire Department (6300 Granbury Hwy.) from 11:00 – 3:00.
Take a Meal arranges for and has meals delivered from PCWNC members for several days to another member who has had surgery or an accident that leaves her home-bound for a week or longer.
Third Monday Bible Sharing meets in a private home at 10:00 p.m. on the third Monday of each month and is led by a knowledgeable teacher.
Uka Ladies learn to play and perform the ukulele at various functions in the area and focus on older songs and sing to their hearts’ content. They meet on the second Monday of each month.
White Dragon Ladies meets in two locations to play Mah Jongg – at the Aledo Community Center the first, second, and fourth Tuesdays of each month from 12:00 to 3:30 p.m. and at the Aledo Community Center every Tuesday from 12:30 to 4:00. Bring your own drink and/or snack for this one.
If we don’t have an activity that excites you, we are always open to new ones being formed.
