Once you become a member of PCWNC, you can choose what you would most enjoy doing and join any or all of the activity groups that interest you. More detailed information is available in the newsletter you will receive each month as a member. The newsletter is also available on this website.
These are the currently active groups.
Book Club meets in a member’s home on the second Thursday of each month.
Bowling meets at Film Alley in Weatherford every week during league sessions.
Breakfast Club meets at various restaurants in and around Weatherford on the first Tuesday of each month at 9:00 a.m.
Canasta aficionados will enjoy playing at Antonio’s on Santa Fe the second Monday of each month from 11:00 to 2:00 p.m.
Chick Flicks is a group that gets together for lunch and then goes to the City Lights Theater in Hudson Oaks on the fourth Monday of each month.
Decorations are prepared by groups of our creative ladies who decorate the tables for our general meetings each month. If you are a creative type, this activity is for you!
Friends Connecting is a group that provides an opportunity for our ladies to get better acquainted and share passions and things they enjoy doing and find other club members with interests in common. They meet in the home of a member on the third Monday of every other month at 2:00.
Game Daze takes place on the fourth Friday of each month at the Spring Creek Volunteer Fire Station. They play all manner of games and each attendee brings some type of covered dish to share for lunch.
Lunch Bunch is a group that meets at a different local restaurant on the first Thursday of each month.
Mah Jongg is played each Wednesday at Antonio’s on Santa Fe starting at 10:30 a.m.
Secret Angels involves ladies signing up to be a “secret angel” to another member beginning in September of each year. Throughout the year, a secret angel sends or leaves at the General Meeting a little something to let the receiver know she is being thought of. All of the angels are revealed the following September.
Third Monday Bible Sharing is led by a knowledgeable teacher and meets in a private home at 10:30 p.m. on the third Monday of each month.
Take a Meal is program that delivers meals from PCWNC members for seven days to another member who has had surgery or an accident that leaves her home-bound for a week or longer.
Uka Ladies is a group of ladies who want to learn to play the ukulele. They focus on older songs and sing to their hearts’ content.
White Dragon Ladies is another Mah Jongg group who meets in two locations – at the Aledo Community Center the first and second Tuesdays of each month from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. and at the Springcreek Volunteer Fire Station every Tuesday from 1:00 to 4:00. Bring your own drink and/or snack for this one.
If we don’t have an activity that excites you, we are always open to new ones being formed.
